Jody Perkins

Hi, I’m Jody. I’m a Specialist Support Community Officer, working across South Wales. My work is all about building strong partnerships across communities, through training, events, information sharing and campaigns, whilst making sure people feel genuinely supported. I believe in collaboration, idea sharing, and bringing the right people together so that everyone has what they need to move forward confidently.

A big part of what drives me is the work I do in the community. I’m passionate about supporting vulnerable families, helping them access the right services, navigate difficult situations, and feel heard throughout the process. Whether I’m working with colleagues, external partners, or families themselves, I always aim to create a supportive space where people feel safe, respected, and understood.

For me, good support isn’t about ticking boxes it’s about relationships, communication, and working side by side to make things better. I care about making a positive difference, building trust, and helping people feel more connected and empowered.

I am a mum to four boys and believe in using life experiences in a positive way to support and help others. I have worked with vulnerable families and partners for 26 years this is not just a job, but a passion of mine.
