As of 1st April 2025, Welsh Water prices are increasing. Here we explain why this price rise is happening, what it means for you and how you can access help and support if you are struggling - or think you may struggle as a result of these increases.

Why are prices increasing?

As part of our planning for the next 5 years, we have to provide justification and costing for any proposed price changes to Ofwat, the industry regulator, for approval. Prices are increasing to account for:

Investment in Services

Proactively improving our network and addressing key areas identified in previous reports by industry bodies and regulators.

Increased operating costs

This is more information about increased operating costs.
